Methadone for Pain in Palliative Care

Description:

Methadone4Pain.ca‎ is a series of three education modules for physicians, nurses and pharmacists seeking to improve their knowledge in prescribing and managing patients prescribed methadone for pain in palliative care. The course was developed by Canadian Virtual Hospice and leading Canadian palliative pain management specialists, in collaboration with The Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians, The College of Family Physicians of Canada, Pallium Canada and de Souza Institute with funding by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the CPD Medicine Program, University of Manitoba for a maximum of 2.0 hours. Participants should only claim credit for the actual number of hours attended. The University of Manitoba CPD Medicine Program is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medication Education (CACME).

This Self-Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 2 Mainpro+ credits.
